A30 Daffs

We like our daffs in Sherborne and one of the sites where ‘a host of golden daffodils’ always appears is the roadside verge by the A30/Marston Road intersection.

This can be quite a busy road with traffic lights to slow down the cars but, when they do stop, motorists have a wonderful view of the daffs:

Spring bulbs are a welcome sight after the long weeks of winter. And it’s good when as many people as possible can see them and enjoy them!

Magnolia Tree

Many of the houses in the centre of Sherborne go back a century or more and many of them still have ancient trees in their garden. Here’s just one of the magnolia trees which we see blooming in April:

This house is at the top end of Newland and every year the people going to and from the shops see these gorgeous blossoms peeping over the wall:
