Cherry Blossom Time

Sherborne, like many small West Country towns, likes to have its residential roads and avenues lined with fruit trees. Here is an example of a row of cherry trees in East Mill Lane which bloom in April:

Looking in the opposite direction, you can see the Old Castle beyond the cherry blossom:

This is just one example of the impact which fruit trees have on the environment of our town. It certainly gives us a sure signal that summer is on its way!

Newland Flats

Spring bulbs are always a welcome sight, especially when we’ve had such a long, wet winter 🙁

These bright and beautiful beds are planted by the residents of the Magna Housing Association Newland Flats and they cheer us up every year:

Best Website

This website is honoured to have twice won the coveted Barry Cruse Trophy for 'Best Website' in the South West in Bloom regional competition.

We were awarded the trophy in 2010 and 2013.

Champions 2016!

Sherborne in Bloom was awarded joint Champion of Champions at the South West in Bloom awards 2016. We were joint winners with St Just in Cornwall, scoring exactly the same marks.
